Improver Guitar Class
This class is for adults who have only been playing a short while.
What you’ll learn:
You’ll learn a selection of chords and strum patterns that can be used to play various tunes. As the weeks go on, we’ll look at adding some embellishments!
Level:
This course is open to those who have a played a little before. If you can play a few single notes and strum a chord or two, you are welcome to attend!
Guitarists who have been playing about a year or so can also benefit. There is always a range of abilities in a group setting and so learning material will always include an ‘easy’ option and a more challenging option.

About the tutor:
Gary Lutton is a musician and teacher based in Belfast. He is the winner of Sky Arts’ Guitar Star and holds a PhD in Music from Ulster University.
Gary has toured in Europe, USA and China as a solo artist as well as being a session player for Nitin Sawhney.
He is the director of both the Belfast Guitar Night and Strandtown Music Academy and has 15 years’ teaching experience in various colleges throughout the country including Belfast Met and Ulster College of Music.
